{birthdays | a winter theme birthday for jolie anne | la mirada}

Hello blog world! I’m back! Happy 2014 to all of you!! I know that I have been away from the blog and social media the past few weeks since there have been a lot of things going on in the business and in our personal lives. I hope that everyone including all of our past clients and blog followers had an amazing holiday season surrounded by their family and friends.

Today I’m happy to be back on the blog and share a special event we planned and designed for one of our littlest clients. Lori contacted me  late last year needing some help in planning her only daughter’s (Jolie Ann) first birthday. A special thanks goes out to one of our favorite clients – The Valdez Family who connected me with Lori. Remember their racing themed birthday party for their 2 boys that we helped plan at the Chino Museum? Check out our post featuring Adam and Noah’s birthday party that was full of details and amazing photos.

Since our first meeting, Lori mentioned that she really wanted to do a Winter themed party for their Jolie Ann since her birthday is right before the holidays seasons. She mentioned that she wanted to avoid any holiday type of decor or theme in order to really focus the party on Jolie Ann. Like many moms, Lori has been on Pinterest pinning her heart away scouring for ideas on what to do for the party. I’m really thrilled to share some of the wonderful photos that Cattura Photography took of Jolie Anne’s birthday.

Some of our favorites from this party includes –
-          Snow flocked centerpieces with touches of pink
-          The delicious birthday cake topped with a snow fairy provided by Dhoreen's Piece of Cake in San Diego
-          Mason jar snow globes for the kids’ craft area
-          The wishing tree we designed for the guests to hang their prayers/wishes for Jolie Anne
-          ALL of their guests' favors!! They could not choose just 1 favor but instead gave away 4 different types of favors for all to enjoy after the party.
o    Smores kit favors that were individually  handcrafted
o    Pixie dust jars for each of the little girls that came to celebrate
o    Burlap bags filled with silver kisses for each of the little boys that came to party with Jolie Anne
o    and a silver snowflake (that doubled as an ornament) for the families to remember this fun event by

Thank you to the Lee Family for allowing us the opportunity to help create this whimsical & wonderful event for their little princess. We can't wait to work with you again on future parties for your family.

{julien + danny | married | huntington beach}

It's Wedding Wednesday!! Now that my wedding season for 2013 has slowed down a bit, I promised to put some love back to the blog and I start today. I'm thrilled to share some of photos from one of our weddings last month. When I met my bride Julien at the Queen Mary bridal show last August 2012, I was really excited to work with her in planning her & Danny's wedding day. Julien works as an educator for the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. I really love her passion behind her work that she really wanted to make sure that she incorporates as much of that in their big day. You can also tell how loved she is by those that she works with since a lot of the fellow vendors that helped out were friends from the aquarium as well. Julien and her bridesmaids have been doing crafting parties to work on details like the 100+ jars that we used for their centerpieces, cork filled hearts and all of the personalized signage. The Newland Barn is a perfect venue for their day - it's tucked in a hidden shopping center in Huntington Beach. I loved how we were able to create the vibe that Julien & Danny had in mind since the venue was flexible in allowing you to bringing whatever you pleased. From the doors that Julien's dad built to use s backdrop for their ceremony & reception, to the vintage lace that were handed down from Julien's grandmother that we used for some of the special tables, to the vegan cupcakes that were the main highlight of their dessert table and the remembrance table honoring all of their relatives that weren't able to join them in the celebration. All of the elements that they had in mind really came together as you'll soon get to enjoy in the photos.

Julien got ready at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa along with all of her bridesmaids, flower maidens, ring maidens and her beautiful mom. They chose blush and khaki as their main color and all the girls got to wear beautiful dresses in various shades of blush and khaki as well.

Julien & Danny just celebrated their one month as Mr. & Mrs. yesterday so this blog post is appropriate. Congrats to my wonderful newlyweds and thank you for allowing Premier Soirees to be a part of your special day!

Thank you to Jamie B. Photography for sharing these gorgeous photos with us. <3

{julien + danny | engaged | san juan capistrano}

I wanted to start off the week with sharing some beautiful photos of one of my bride & groom - Julien & Daniel. Julien & I met last August 2012 while I was at the Queen Mary bridal show. I just love how passionate Julien is about all of the details for their wedding day especially the fact that they wanted everything to be environment friendly. They're incorporating a lot of family lace that has a lot of history in their wedding that I cannot wait to use. You can tell the love they have for both of their families and the fact that they wanted to honor their family members especially those that are no longer able to join us for their big day.

For now, enjoy the beautiful photos from their engagement session shoot that they won over a contest held by Jack Randall Photography.

{dominic + bettina | engaged | culver city}

One of the biggest blessings I love best about this business is the different people I get to meet and the relationships I end up forming with my couples. Bettina is definitely one of those people that I have been so blessed to have met. She is a true sweetheart with the kindest and purest heart and her fiance, Dominic is just as true and genuine as she is. I loved working with this couple since working with them never felt like work. I best described it as planning a wedding fit for my own sister. I met Bettina & Dominic at the Brea Bridal Show last April when they visited my table asking about a Style Unveiled feature that I was a part of. From then on, I felt their utmost confidence and trust in my work and for that - I'm truly grateful to both of them.

Beyond thrilled to share some of my faves from their engagement session with one of my favorites also - Kelly of True Bliss Photography. They chose to have their session around the Culver City area near Downtown LA since it's an area that has a lot of significance to them. I can't wait for your big day next week! I hope this doesn't mean we're "breaking up" after your wedding. :) Love you both!
